Choe Chol-man (born September 22, 1985 ) is a North Korean football player .

Career

Choe appears internationally as a player in the April 25 Sports Group , the club of the Korean People's Army .

The striker took part in the qualifying round of the East Asian Cup with the North Korean national team in spring 2005 and scored five goals in four games. In the final qualifying phase for the 2006 World Cup , Choe was used in all six games and scored his only goal in the competition in the last and meaningless game against Bahrain. At the finals of the East Asian Cup in 2008 , he was also part of the North Korean squad and came on a brief assignment during the tournament. In 2010 he won the AFC Challenge Cup with a B selection and qualified for the 2011 Asian Cup with the selection . Choe scored three goals in the course of the tournament, in the final against Turkmenistan he had to leave the field for a defender after 42 minutes after an early dismissal against North Korea.

For the North Korean Olympic team (U-23) he was in the squad several times in 2007 as part of the qualification for the 2008 Olympic Games , in 2009 he and the team narrowly missed a medal position at the East Asian Games by losing penalties in the semi-finals and in the game for third place.
