Choi Bae-geun

Choi Bae-geun ( Korean : 최배근 , born April 12, 1959 ) is a South Korean professor and politician . He has been teaching and researching economics at Konkuk University since 1990 . He was chairman of the platform party with Woo Hee-jong .

He studied economics at Konkuk University and received his PhD from the University of Georgia . In 1990 he returned to Konkuk University and has been a professor there ever since. In 2004 he briefly worked as a columnist for the Hankyoreh newspaper. In spring 2020, together with other members of civil society, he founded the platform party for the upcoming parliamentary election in April and chaired it together with Woo Hee-jong.
