Chomba Freedom Sikazwe

Chomba Freedom Sikazwe (born January 1, 1961 ) is a Zambian politician of the Patriotic Front (PF).

Life

Sikazwe worked as a car engineer after training as an automotive technician. He was elected for the first time as a member of the National Assembly of Zambia as a candidate for the Patriotic Front (PF) in the 2011 elections and was re-elected in the election on August 11, 2016 and represents the constituency of Mpulungu .

In September 2011 he was appointed Minister for the Northern Province by President Michael Sata in his cabinet . In November 2012 he took over the post of Minister for Lusaka Province and Vice Minister for Equality and Child Development in July 2013, before becoming Minister for the Northern Province again in December 2013. After Sata's death on October 28, 2014, he also retained this office in the cabinet of his acting successor Guy Scott and in the cabinet of Edgar Lungu , who took over the office of President on January 25, 2015. After his re-election on August 11, 2016, he was initially backbencher and was a member of the Committee on Health, Community Development and Social Services before he was appointed Minister for Presidential Affairs and President's Office again in November 2016 by President Lungu.
