Chosen LeJisra'el ( Hebrew חוסן לישראל, German : Resistance for Israel ) is a political party in Israel . The party was founded on December 27, 2018. The chairman of the party is Benny Gantz .
The party originally planned to run in the early elections to the 21st Knesset on April 9, 2019 with Gantz at number one and Moshe Jaalon at number two. At the end of January 2019, the party was in second place in election polls behind the Likud led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu .
On February 21, 2019, Gantz and Jair Lapid ( Yesch Atid ) announced the formation of a joint electoral list of their parties under the name Kachol Lavan ("Blue White"). In the event of an election victory, they wanted to take turns as prime ministers. For the electoral alliance , alongside Jaalon and Gabi Aschkenasi , the former minister of social affairs Meir Cohen and Avi Nissenkorn , former chairman of the trade union umbrella organization Histadrut , made it onto the top list.
