The Choyce Point is up to 230 m high headland on the Bowman Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 5 km southwest of Tent-Nunatak and marks the entrance to Seligman Inlet to the north .
Seen from the Larsen Ice Shelf , a cliff rises behind the headland. The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) named this Cape Choyce in 1947 . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee decided on December 20, 1974 to transfer the name in an adapted form to the headland described here. It is named after Michael Antony Choyce (1919–1996), FIDS meteorologist at the station in Hope Bay in 1947.
