Christopher Dewayne "Chris" Carson (* 16th September 1994 in Biloxi , Mississippi ) is an American American football poker players in the position of running backs . He played college football for Oklahoma State University - Stillwater and has been with the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League (NFL) since 2017 .

college

Carson grew up in Lilburn , Georgia , and went to Parkview High School there. After two years at junior college , Carson played for Oklahoma State University in 2015 and 2016 . Carson had 13 touchdowns and 1,076 yards of space in his two years in college . Due to a poor start to the season and a thumb injury, he only played as a backup in his second season, but was still able to convince with 6.8 yards of space per run. In just 82 attempts to run, he scored 9 touchdowns.

NFL

Carson was selected in the 7th round in the 2017 NFL Draft in 249th place by the Seattle Seahawks . He quickly established himself as a regular player. However, his rookie season ended prematurely when he broke his ankle in the fourth game against the Indianapolis Colts and was placed on the Injured Reserve List .

After a convincing preseason in 2018, Carson started the season as a starter. In the regular season, Carson became one of the key players in the offense of the Seahawks, who were the strongest running offensive in the league. Carson ran with 1151 yards, the fifth most yards in the league, scoring nine touchdowns.

In the 2019 season , Carson set a new personal best with 1239 rushing yards and again ranked fifth in this statistic across the league. He ran seven touchdowns. On Matchday 16, he injured his hip and was placed on the Injured Reserve List . Carson thus dropped out for the last game of the regular season and the play-offs. To replace him, the Seahawks brought back the resigned Marshawn Lynch .
