Chris Masoe (born May 15, 1979 in Savaiʻi , Samoa ) is a New Zealand rugby union player who was set up 20 times for the New Zealand national team, the All Blacks .

Before joining the French top 14 team Castres Olympique , Masoe also played for the Hurricanes in the Super 14 . He is able to play all three positions in the third row (No. 6-8), but he mostly plays as a winger .

Masoe is fast, a strong runner with the ball and a tough defender. In the past he was a permanent member of the New Zealand rugby seven squad and a member of the gold-winning team at the 2002 Commonwealth Games . His all-rounder skills earned him Taranaki Sportsman of the Year in 2002, and in the same year he was named New Zealand Sevens Player of the Year. His brother Maselino Masoe is a successful boxer, three-time Olympian and former WBA middleweight world champion.
