Chris Prinz (born in Berlin as Christopher Brée) is a German singer and songwriter. He was best known for his hit single Berlin - by day and night (2013).
Life
Chris Prinz comes from and lives in Berlin. Already in his childhood and youth he dreamed of making music. In addition to his music, sport and especially his family play a major role in his life.
Prinz had its origins in the hip-hop scene. Over time, however, he turned more and more to pop and hit songs. His idiosyncratic style can currently be described as pop pop with hip-hop influences. He published his first songs on various video platforms on the Internet. Prinz was able to record his first major successes in May 2012 when he released the single Nur Du & Ich , which both hit the German DJ charts and was in permanent rotation on some TV channels such as Goldstar TV .
In 2013, Prinz made his breakthrough with the song Berlin (by day and night) and landed at number 32 in the German charts. The song was related to the eponymous show Berlin - Tag & Nacht , on which the song was also heard. In the same year his debut album " Dreams can be lived" was released .
In recent years, Prinz has also worked with musicians such as Loona , Die Atzen and Annemarie Eilfeld . He also toured with Michael Wendler .
In addition to his work as a singer and songwriter, Chris Prinz is also represented with his own section as a moderator on Schlager.de . For his own format, The Prince meets ... he interviews popular hits like Heino, Linda Hesse, DJ Ötzi and Roland Kaiser.
In October 2016 he announced that he would give up his stage name Chris Prinz in order to continue making music under his real name Christopher Brée. The first publication under his real name was Bye bye Machoherz in May 2017 .
After an appearance on July 15, 2018 with his single Mach mich nicht an in the ZDF television garden , Christopher Brée announced his musical farewell on his social profiles on the same day.
