Chris Reece

Chris Reece (born March 7, 1979 in Dielsdorf ; actually Christian Beat Hirt ) is a Swiss composer , music producer and writer .

Musical career

Reece works and lives in Zurich . Musically, his songs and productions can be found in the field of electronic music .

In 1998 Franco Stia aka Franky Fonell and Chris Reece met and in autumn 1998 they produced the first single together with Ivan L.!. They called the project Fu-Bots . The single Theme from Futurescope was released three months later on Energetic Records / Warner Music . The trio then went from one rave to the next as a live act .

Back in the studio in spring 2000, they produced the follow-up track Northern Lights , which was released in Germany on the UCMG label . At about the same time, Franky Fonell and Chris Reece merged their studios, founded the Spirit Groove Studio and from then on produced together. In the summer of 2001, the single Shake Shake Baby ( Gee MP feat. Mary ) reached number 69 on the Swiss charts for a week.

Chris Reece and Franky Fonell recorded their first top ten hit in 2004. The trance ballad Always on My Mind ( DJ Tatana feat. Jael ) reached number six in the Swiss charts. In 2006, DJ Tatana's song Free stayed in the Swiss singles chart for 31 weeks.

Her project Seashells , published on the Sirup Records label, made it into the top 30 of the German dance charts (DDC) with her first two vinyl releases ( Break of Dawn 2004, Fallin 'Under 2005). The third and so far last song of this project Feed Me can only be found on the official Streetparade compilation from 2005. The house title Sex in Zurich (Rob Lemon) made it into the DDC top ten in spring 2006. In autumn 2006 the song Reaction (Rocco Nocera) was released on the German label Kontor Records . However, the title remained below the label's expectations and was only marketable on compilations.

In addition, the duo also produced remixes for well-known international artists such as Steve Angello , Tiga , Cassius , X-Static , Armin van Buuren and CJ Stone .

Chris Reece released his first solo EP "Tribal Illusion" on his own label "Unreleased Digital" in June 2007. "Brasil" was the follow-up EP. On December 13, 2007, the single "The Fall" was released on MYLO Recordings on the digital music market. The single reached number 29 in the international download charts.

Chris Reece is also responsible for projects such as Leventina, Passenger 10, George F. Zimmer, Dinka , Daniel Portman and Tanja La Croix , for which he regularly writes and produces songs.

Literary career

In autumn 2006 the German Mauer Verlag published the first novel "Westliche Nomaden" by Chris Reece, which he did not publish under his pseudonym, as usual, but under his maiden name "Christian Hirt". It is about two people who meet again after a long time due to the circumstances of fate and have to come to terms with an old story that both protagonists had almost forgotten.

Chris Reece also writes short stories that have so far been published in several anthologies .
