Steve Angello (2015)

Steve Angello (* 22. November 1982 in Athens , real name Steve Josefsson Fragogiannis ) is a Greek - Swedish House - DJ and music producer . Together with Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso he formed the Swedish House Mafia , which disbanded in March 2013. He is the brother of the DJ An21 .

Career

Fragogiannis started out as a hip-hop DJ. before he was drawn into the house scene by his colleague Sebastian Ingrosso . Angello released several singles on the record labels Subliminal Records, Cr2 and Refune and produced for Interscope Records until he founded his own label Size Records in Stockholm in 2002. Together with Eric Prydz he recorded various pieces of music as the A&P Project . The single Woz Not Woz resulting from the collaboration became a club hit and was subsequently released on other labels. After commercial release, the single hit the international charts.

In 2006 Angello released the single Tell Me Why with his DJ colleague Axwell under the name "Supermode" , which was essentially based on samples of Smalltown Boy by Bronski Beat from 1984. The single developed into one of the club hits of 2006 and was released in almost 30 different single versions with always new remixes. In Germany the single was released on Superstar Recordings . At the same time he received his first remix commissions from, among others, Moby , Justin Timberlake and the Eurythmics .

In 2007 Angello published the song Baby When the Light in collaboration with the French DJ and producer David Guetta , which reached the singles charts in Germany and Great Britain and a top 10 position in France. In the same year, another collaboration with Sebastian Ingrosso, Umbrella , appeared . In March 2008 he released the songs Be , 555 and It together with Ingrosso and the Dutch DJ and producer Laidback Luke . After Dutch producer Hardwell produced a mash-up of Robin S. 's songs Be and Show Me Love from 1990, Angello and Luke decided to release it as an official single. This developed into a success and occasionally reached the top of the British dance charts as well as the singles charts in Germany, Australia and Scotland.

In January 2009 Angello achieved another chart success with the track Everytime We Touch . He produced this together with David Guetta, Sebastian Ingrosso and singer Chris Willis . In April 2009 the song Leave the World Behind followed , which was created together with Axwell , Ingrosso and Laidback Luke. Canadian singer Deborah Cox contributed the vocals . After Angello, Axwell and Ingrosso had toured under the name Swedish House Mafia since the previous year , they joined forces to form this formation in 2009. In 2010, after the globally successful single One (Your Name) with Pharrell Williams and Miami 2 Ibiza with Tinie Tempah, they released their debut album Until One

In 2011, the song Open Your Eyes , which he recorded with Alex Metric, was part of FIFA 12's playlist . They presented it together at the Tomorrowland music festival . In May 2011, the single Save the World was released as another Swedish House Mafia song, which contained vocals by the Swedish singer John Martin . In the summer of 2011, the Swedish House Mafia performed again at Tomorrowland and released two more singles in the winter with the songs Antidote and Greyhound . After celebrating a variety of major live performances in the summer of 2012, the Swedish House Mafia released the single Don't You Worry Child in September 2012 , again with John Martin, which became a number one in Sweden, Australia and the UK. Hit developed. In October 2012 their second studio album Until Now was released , their second and final studio album until they split in March 2013 at the Ultra Music Festival .

The song received critical acclaim and quickly made it to the top of the Beatport charts. In collaboration with the British musician Harrison, they recorded a vocal version of the song.

In 2014 he announced a new studio album, which would be titled Wild Youth . The first single on the album was titled Wasted Love and was released on July 22, 2014. The vocals were provided by the Australian singer Dougy of the indie rock band The Temper Trap . In 2015 the second single from the album was released. This was called Children of the Wild and was created together with Mako. Two months later followed the third single Remember with the Australian duo The Presets. On November 20, 2015, the songs Tiger , The Ocean and Prisoner were released as additional releases. The entire album was originally supposed to be released on that day. However, the release has been postponed to January 22, 2016.

In April 2017, Angello presented a number of new songs at Coachella 2017, including the song Feels Like Heaven , which featured the vocals of Brandon Flowers , lead singer of indie rock band The Killers . In the course of the year the songs Breaking Kind , Rejoice ', Freedom', I Know , Break Me Down and Dopamine were released as single releases of his upcoming studio album. Feels Like Heaven was released on March 22, 2018 with new lyrics and a new voice from Sam Martin under the new title Nothing Scares Me Anymore as the last single.
