biography

After graduating from college in Alabama, he toured with a group that performed over a hundred churches in two years. In the mid-1990s he was the backup singer for the band Twila Paris . In 1996 he released his debut album Chris Willis , on which he wrote eight of the eleven songs. It was nominated for the title Best R&B Album 1996 at the Nashville Music Awards. In the same year he also opened the tour of Mark Lowry and was one of several singers in the musical Emmanuel . He went on a national tour with Nashville producer Norman Miller. The tour produced an album for which he won a GMA Dove Award in 1998 for the best special event album of the year. Until 1998 he sang mostly under the genre gospel , when he was signed to a small music label . The label was bought by a large company and Willis took this as an opportunity to make more acquaintances.

In 2000 he worked with the French band 2BE3 and continued to attract attention. While working on their album, one of the bandmates introduced him to their compatriot David Guetta . The House - DJ and producer invited Willis one into the studio and the next day they wrote the song Just a Little More Love . Willis co-wrote and vocalist several songs on Guetta's debut album Just a Little More Love including the theme song.

Willis is active on social networks like MySpace, Facebook and Twitter, to which he often uploads live photos and videos from his tours. In 2009 he toured all of Europe with David Guetta. In November 2009 he performed at the two-year anniversary party in the dance club C4 in Steyer, Austria.

On August 3, 2009, the song Gettin 'Over was released as a single. He was able to place himself in the UK charts. A remix version with LMFAO and Fergie , released in 2010, hit the charts almost worldwide.

His solo single Louder (Put Your Hands Up) was released on October 12, 2010. Willis wrote the song together with Cutfather and Jonas Jeberg. The video premiered on Dailymotion on October 26, 2010. It was filmed in Los Angeles and directed by Billie Woodruff. The song reached # 1 on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Songs on January 8, 2011.

His second single Too Much In Love was released digitally on August 16, 2011. The song uses a sample from Lenny Kravitz 's single Are You Gonna Go My Way . The official music video was also shot in Los Angeles and was released on January 10, 2012.

On November 29, 2011, an eight-song EP entitled Premium - Songs From The Love Schiff, Vol. 1 was released. She has some of his solo singles.
