Sam Martin
Samuel Denison "Sam" Martin (born February 7, 1983 in New York City ) is an American singer-songwriter and co-founder of the band "Con Bro Chill", where he also works as a front man .
Career
Martin was born in New York City and moved to Lake Oswego , Oregon , as a teenager , where he attended high school . He then went to Berklee College of Music for two years . After graduating, he began a career as a songwriter. He wrote Daylight and It Was Always You for Maroon 5 , among others . He also participated in the track Like a Drum by Guy Sebastian and Ziggy Marley's song Lighthouse .
After initial successes, the French DJ and producer David Guetta became aware of him. He invited him to the studio and they began to write the song Lovers on the Sun , which he also sang , together with Avicii and Daddy's Groove, among others . The song was first released on June 30, 2014 and became a huge hit. It was able to reach the top 10 of the official single charts in over 20 countries. Shortly afterwards, he received several requests for cooperation. Including from Maroon 5 for the album V as well as from the Australian DJ Dirty South .
After David Guetta announced the tracklist of his fourth studio album, another collaboration between Guetta and Martin appeared. The song is called Dangerous and was released as another pre-release of Guetta's album. The style of the song is not similar to the previous single Lovers on the Sun , but is based on retro electro pop . Even before it was released, the track reached high positions in the iTunes charts of various countries.
