Lake Oswego [ leɪk ɒsˈwiːɡoʊ ] is a city with around 36,000 inhabitants (as of 2007), which extends over three counties, the main town being in Clackamas County in the US state of Oregon and only small areas in the neighboring counties Multnomah and Washington .
