Cedric Gervais
Cedric Gervais (* 7. June 1979 in Marseille ) is a French DJ and House - producer .
Life
Gervais was born as Cédric DePasquale in Marseille, where he also spent his childhood and youth. He discovered his passion for electronic music at an early age and was already playing as a DJ in well-known clubs in Paris and Saint-Tropez at the age of 14 . At the age of 19 he moved to Miami to become internationally known as a DJ. There he quickly gained notoriety and also began producing house music himself . In 2007 he released his first single called Spirit in My Life .
His first big hit was the song Molly in 2012 , which was later covered by the US rapper Tyga and already reached number 5 in the UK dance charts.
He achieved international fame in 2013 for his remix version of Lana Del Rey's hit Summertime Sadness , for which he was awarded a Grammy for the best remix recording . Other remixes followed, such as the Lana Del Rey song Young & Beautiful or Miley Cyrus ' hit Adore You , both of which were featured in the international charts.
He also had two small appearances in the films Pain & Gain (2013) and Deepwater Horizon (2016), in which some of his songs were also used as the soundtrack.
