Chris Shepherd (born December 4, 1966 in Liverpool ) is a British director , screenwriter and film producer .

Life

Shepherd studied from 1985 at the Polytechnic in Liverpool and then worked as an editor . Between 1989 and 1992 he studied animation at the West Surrey College of Art and Design . He made the six-minute short film A Load of Balls back in 1992 , but his breakthrough as a director and screenwriter was not until 1997 with the animated short film The Broken Jaw produced by Channel 4 . In the same year he worked for the BBC on the comedy show Big Train . His other work for Channel 4 included the series People's Britain and School Disco , which he realized with his production company Slinky Pictures, founded in 2000. In 2003 he produced the animated short film Dad's Dead , which received a total of 25 awards, including best short film at the British Independent Film Awards . The film was also nominated for a BAFTA Award . My insane neighbor was on the 2006 London Film Festival with the TCM Classic Shorts Award excellent.
