Christa Schmidt (politician)
Christa Schmidt , b. Weigel , (born April 3, 1941 in Leipzig ) is a German politician ( CDU ).
Schmidt was elected to the People's Chamber of the GDR in the early election in 1990 and held the office of Minister for Family and Women in the de Maizière government . After reunification, she became a member of the German Bundestag . In the 1990 Bundestag election she failed with the aim of being re-elected, but moved to parliament on February 1, 1994 and was a member of that parliament until the end of the year.
