Christel Jenniches (born October 14, 1937 , † February 28, 2011 ) was a German amateur singer who became well known through the TV show .

Christel Jenniches came from Zülpich - Nemmenich and was a member of the city council as a member of the FDP for many years . In her spare time she took singing and guitar lessons. One night she remembered the lyrics to her later song, More Honest Politicians . Her nephew, the pianist Theodor Pauß, composed a catchy melody for it. With this title she took part in the morning star talent section on Sat.1 breakfast television . The peculiar appearance hit the taste of Stefan Raab and he then invited her several times to his show TV total , where she also sang her title live with the Heavytones . The song finally made it to number 63 in the German music charts.
