Christian August Maximilian Rau (born April 6, 1800 in Urach ; † July 10, 1846 there ) was a Württemberg city ​​school leader and member of the state parliament.

life and work

Rau was the son of the forest secretary Christoph Friedrich Rau (1757–1838) and Sibylle Auguste nee. Velcro (1766-1850). In 1827 he married Christiane Luise Mack (1805–1878). He was the city scholar and councilor in Urach. From 1843 until his untimely death he was a member of the second chamber of the Württemberg state parliament for the upper administrative district of Urach .
