Christian Binder (Author)

Christian Binder (* 1741 in Hedelfingen ; † 1823 in Rudersberg ) was a Württemberg theologian and pastor in Rudersberg in what is now the Rems-Murr district . He was the author of the volume Wirtembergs Kirchen- und Lehraemter or the complete history of occupation of the Herzoglich-Wirtembergisches Consistory and Church Council, ... and every church office ... from the Reformation up to the present times, the first edition of which was published in Tübingen in 1798.

Life

Christian Binder was born in Hedelfingen in 1741 as the son of Christoph Peter Binder. In 1759 he enrolled at the University of Tübingen. After several vicariats he became pastor in Dachtel (1769), Eberstadt (1771), Ottmarsheim (1789) and Rudersberg (1801). Rudersberg remained his place of activity. In 1769 he married Sabina Friederika Hiller in Bietigheim. The marriage had nine children, three of whom died early. The son Christian (born February 26, 1775 in Eberstadt) became a merchant in Augsburg, treasurer for banker and benefactor Friedrich von Halder (1773-1856) in Augsburg and court advisor in Stuttgart, the youngest son Karl Wilhelm Heinrich (born December 16, 1783 in Eberstadt) became auditor in Stuttgart, city clerk in Gmünd and senior administrator in the Gmünd Oberamt . Binder became known as the author of the volume Wirtembergs Church and Teaching Offices .
