Christian Deichstetter (born February 5, 1966 ) is a German ice hockey player and coach .
Career
As a player
The defender, who grew up in Trostberg , played over 400 games (around 280 points) for the Augsburg EV , EV Landsberg , ESV Königsbrunn , EC Nordhorn , EC Ulm / Neu-Ulm , ERSC Amberg and his home club TSV Trostberg , for whom he was 16 Year old played in the then regional league.
As a trainer
The sports scientist (University of Leipzig), qualified trainer ( Trainer Academy Cologne) and A license holder has been working as an ice hockey trainer since 1994 and has coached numerous teams in over 800 games to date. He started his coaching career at Augsburger EV, where he coached the DNL team, senior league team and numerous youth teams for a total of 8 years from 1994 to 1996 and 1998 to 2004. For two years from 1996 he was with ESV Königsbrunn as the youngest coach of the then 2nd League South. From 2005 to 2011 he was the sporting director and head coach responsible for the offspring of the ERC Ingolstadt .
As an association trainer and base manager, Christian supported the Bavarian Ice Sports Association from 1999 to 2008 in promoting young talent for the U12, U13 and U14 teams.
Since 2008 he has been working as a trainer and team manager for the German Ice Hockey Federation for the U16 / U17 national team.
He is currently responsible for the U17 national team with Sven Felski and Jochen Molling.
