history

TSV 1882 Landsberg (1955–1957)

On February 11, 1955, an ice sports department was founded at the football club TSV 1888 Landsberg.

EV Landsberg (1957-2000)

After the ice hockey department had made itself independent from TSV 1882 Landsberg as EV Landsberg in 1957, in 1959 it was promoted to the then second-class league . There the team was able to establish itself and in 1966 reached a playoff against Berliner SC for the league championship and promotion to the Bundesliga, which was lost 6-8. In the following year the EVL was relegated to the Regionalliga , where, however, the immediate resurgence succeeded. In 1973 the qualification for the new 2nd Bundesliga was achieved .

In the seasons between 1959 and 1998, the EV Landsberg spent most of the time in the second highest division, only three times you had to spend a year in the third division. When the German Ice Hockey League was founded in 1994, the club was the only second division team to renounce participation in the DEL and play in the new first division . It was not until 1999 that the EVL was relegated to the fourth-class regional league and was subsequently dissolved after the 1999/2000 season due to financial problems.

EV Landsberg 2000 (2000-2011)

Logo of EV Landsberg 2000

The EV Landsberg was founded in 2000 as the successor association . Just like the Starbulls Rosenheim , the club had to start in the lowest division - the district league - because of the classification as a new foundation by the Bavarian Ice Sports Association . After reaching the final of the Bayernliga for the third time since 2002/03, he was promoted from the Bayernliga to the Oberliga in the 2004/05 season . There the team reached second place in the main round of the Oberliga 2005/06, tied with the ETC Crimmitschau . In the championship round, first place could be secured, and in the subsequent playoffs on April 23, 2006, promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga was achieved. There the team managed to stay up in league sport, with the team playing for a long time to participate in the championship playoffs. The originally planned transfer of the professional team from the club to a corporation for the 2006/07 season should take place in good time before the 2007/08 season, but this did not work even after two attempts. From a sporting point of view, the end of the 2007/08 season was relegated to the league, as despite two coaching changes - after Larry Mitchell had given up his post to Frederick Ledlin , he was replaced by Sergei Swetlow - the departure of numerous players during the season is not compensated could. After a turning point, the team went strongly rejuvenated into the following league season, where at the end of the league was secured with a seventh place after the preliminary round.

On June 7th 2010 the general meeting decided to change the club name from EV Landsberg 2000 to EV Landsberg . On April 27, 2011, the board of directors of the association submitted the application to open insolvency proceedings at the responsible Augsburg district court . On November 28, 2011, the EVL was deleted from the register of associations.

HC Landsberg (since 2008)

Logo of the HC Landsberg

On December 17, 2008, in addition to the then EV Landsberg 2000, HC Landsberg was founded by former EVL players, which started playing with the senior team in the district league in the 2009/10 season and in 2010/11 as a champion of the district league Group West the national league rose.

In the summer of 2011 the club was ready to take over the junior teams of the EV Landsberg after changing its statutes and implementing a concept that had been presented. After a successful 2011/12 season in which they took part in the championship round and promotion round for the first time, a rather mediocre 2012/13 season followed, which ended in 10th place in the table. In the following season 2013/12 you could win Alexander Wedl as a coach for the senior team. The goal Bayernliga was issued from the start of the season. With a large junior squad behind them, they managed to finish first in the Landesliga Süd / West. In the following play-offs, they were able to prevail in the semi-finals against ESC Vilshofen and in the final against EV Pegnitz and qualified as the Bavarian state league champion for the Bayernliga 2014/15.

HC Landsberg was able to reach the quarter-finals of the play-offs for the Bavarian championship in all four previous Bayernliga seasons.
