EC Diez-Limburg
The EC Diez-Limburg started playing in 1983. After the promotion to the Hessenliga succeeded in the 1986/87 season, the team prevailed as champions of the Hessian league in qualifying for the Middle Regional League and immediately rose to the higher-class ice hockey. In the 1989/90 season , he was promoted to the Oberliga Nord in 1990/91 . Despite sporting relegation , the team was withdrawn from the Oberliga in 1991 and took part in the Hessenliga in 1991/92. After the 1991/92 season, the game was stopped.
Limburg EG
The Limburger EG - the official club name Limburger Eislaufgemeinschaft - began playing in the Hessenliga in 1992/93 and rose to the higher-class ice hockey in the Regionalliga Nord after the season . In 1994 the team was divided into the 2nd division north , from which the team rose to the 1st division north in 1997/98 in 1997 . After the season the game was stopped at Limburger EG.
JSC Lahntal Ducks
After the end of Limburger EG, the JSC Lahntal Ducks - the official name of the youth skating club “Lahntal Ducks” - continued playing and took part in the Hesse-Rhineland-Palatinate regional league in 1999/00 and 2000/01 . In the 2001/02 season, the JSC team took part in the Rhineland-Palatinate League. After the season, the JSC stopped playing.

The EG Diez-Limburg - official club name Eissportgemeinschaft Diez-Limburg; also abbreviated to EGDL - was founded in 2004 and took part in the league game of the Hessen State League from the 2007/08 season. After the 2008/09 season, the first team of the EGDL rose to the Hessenliga, from which the team rose to the Regionalliga West after the 2015/16 season . A year later , the EC secured the championship in the regular season and were only subject to the Herford Ice Dragons in the play-off final . Because of the corona pandemic, the 2019/20 season , in which the EC had advanced into the final, was canceled. For the 2020/21 season , the club registered for the Oberliga Nord.

The ERC Pohlheim - the official club name Eis- und Rollsportclub Pohlheim - is a Hessian club from Pohlheim , which is also based in the Diez ice rink due to the lack of opportunities for ice sports in Pohlheim .
