Franz-Xaver Ibelherr (born July 3, 1964 ) is a former German ice hockey player - and coach. In the 1st Bundesliga he played for the Sportbund DJK Rosenheim and the ESV Kaufbeuren .

Career

Ibelherr began his career in the 2nd Bundesliga at EC Bad Tölz , for which he ran two seasons from the 1982/83 season. He then completed two seasons in the highest German league with the sports association DJK Rosenheim , where he was awarded the Alois Schloder Trophy for the best newcomer to the league in 1985 and became German champion .

Before he was active again in the 1st Bundesliga for ESV Kaufbeuren in 1991 , he spent five seasons in the 2nd Bundesliga, three of them with Augsburg EV and two with EC Hedos Munich . In 1993/94 Ibelherr played for the first time for EV Landsberg , for which he went on the ice again for one season in 1997/98 and 1999/2000 .

For the EHC Neuwied , the Bavarian laced up the skates from 1995 to 1997 and won the first division championship with the club and also won the DEB league cup with the Rhinelanders . In 1998/99 he played for ESC Munich in the 2nd League South . After a four-year break, he played four more games in the regional league for ESV Königsbrunn , where he made an assist and had a penalty of 54 minutes.

Trainer

Ibelherr has been a trainer since the end of his active career. First he stood behind the gang at EV Landsberg for three seasons and led the club from the district league to the regional league , where they won the championship in 2004. The following two years he coached their league rivals EV Fürstenfeldbruck and ESV Königsbrunn . In 2006/07 he headed the Augsburg Jungpanther in the regional league and was again active in the regional league at ECDC Memmingen for the following season . After a year as the youth coach of EV Landsberg, he was again behind the gang at ESV Königsbrunn in 2009/10. For the 2010/11 season he moved to the Bavarian State League to send Crocodiles and in the 2011/12 season he coached the Pirates of ESV Buchloe in the Bavarian League . He is currently training for the Bavarian regional division Freising Black Bears in the 2015/2016 season.
