Fabio Carciola (born August 25, 1985 in Kassel ) is a German - Italian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC Landsberg in the Bavarian ice hockey league since January 2019 . His younger brother Adriano Carciola is also a professional ice hockey player.

Career

Fabio Carciola began his career in the offspring of the Kassel Huskies and moved to the Adler Mannheim in 2000 , for whose DNL team he was already deployed at the age of 15. From 2000 to 2003 the winger played a total of three seasons for the young eagles . In the 2002/03 season, the native of Hesse also played a few games for the Mannheim team. In the following years, the right-handed shooter established himself in the squad of the DEL record champions.

The 2005/06 season was the first that Carciola spent completely in the DEL although, like the years before, he was entitled to play for the Heilbronner Falken with a sponsorship license . In the 2006/07 season he won the German championship with the Eagles. In the following season , the attacker moved to the DEG Metro Stars until he signed a contract with his home club Kassel Huskies in the 2009/10 season .

After three seasons in the Heilbronner Falken jersey, he switched to the DEL for EHC Red Bull Munich during his fourth year in Heilbronn .

International

Carciola has played three major tournaments for the DEB's youth teams so far . He took part in the U-18 World Cup in 2003 and in the Junior World Championships in 2004 and 2005 . Since 2006, the striker has also been part of the extended squad of the senior national team .
