Adam Mitchell (born December 1, 1982 in Port Elgin , Ontario ) is a German - Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Löwen Frankfurt from the DEL2 since May 2018 .

Career

Mitchell spent his college years at Colgate University , for their hockey team he in the game operation of the NCAA was on the ice, and moved to the start of the 2005/06 season in the German league for EV Landsberg , with whom he promoted to the 2. Bundesliga managed . In his first season in Germany, the winger was voted Player of the Year 2005/06 in the major league , a choice that was carried out for the first time in the ESBG area this year . Despite some offers from the German Ice Hockey League , the Canadian initially extended his contract in Bavaria for another year. However, after the EVL had missed the play-offs of the season, he spent the finals at the Austrian national league team VEU Feldkirch , with whom he was finally able to win the championship title of the second highest league.

On December 12, 2007 Mitchell Hannover Scorpions was signed from the German Ice Hockey League with which he won the German championship in the 2009/10 season . In the 2011/12 season he was signed by Adler Mannheim . After two seasons for Mannheim, the winger signed a one-year contract with league rivals Hamburg Freezers . In the summer of 2014, his contract in Hamburg was extended to 2017; in addition, Mitchell received a German passport during the current season after passing his naturalization and is therefore no longer subject to the foreign quota in the DEL.

In May 2016, the Freezers announced their decision not to apply for a license for the 2016/17 DEL license, which meant that Mitchell was without a club despite the current contract. Around a week after leaving Hamburg, he was signed by the Straubing Tigers .

In May 2018 Mitchell moved from the DEL to the DEL2 to the Löwen Frankfurt .
