Christian Kretschmann (born March 13, 1993 in Mönchengladbach ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Löwen Frankfurt from the DEL2 since October 2019 .

Career

Christian Kretschmann began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of the Krefelder EV , for which he was active in the school league from 2006 to 2008. He then went on for four years for its junior team in the German junior league . In the 2010/11 season he also ran for the first time in the senior division for Neusser EV in the third-rate ice hockey league . For the 2011/12 season , the center made its debut for the professional team of the Krefeld Penguins in the German Ice Hockey League . At the same time, he played for the second team of the Krefeld EV ( 2011/12 , 2012/13 ), the EHC Dortmund (2011/12) and the EV Duisburg ( 2013/14 ) in the major league. In the 2012/13 season , the right-shooter was a regular player for the Krefeld Penguins in the DEL.

After more than eleven years in the club, Kretschmann left the KEV in spring 2017 and was signed by the Augsburg Panthers . For the 2018/19 season, Kretschmann moved to Düsseldorfer EG .

In July 2019 he was signed by the Dresden Ice Lions . At the end of October 2019, he moved to the Löwen Frankfurt within the DEL2 after he was unable to assert himself in Dresden.

International

For Germany , Kretschmann took part in the 2011 U18 World Junior Championship .
