Manuel Strodel (born January 17, 1992 in Buchloe ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Löwen Frankfurt in the DEL2 since January 2020 .

Career

Manuel Strodel began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of ESV Buchloe before moving to the youth department of ESV Kaufbeuren , for which he was active from 2005 to 2007 in the school league and then for a year in the German youth league. The attacker then joined the Düsseldorfer EG , for whose DNL team he was on the ice from 2008 to 2012. From 2008 to 2010 he also made his first senior appearances for DEG's second team in the fourth-class ice hockey regional league . In the 2010/11 season he was on loan in six games for the Ratinger Ice Aliens in the third-rate ice hockey league on the ice.

For the 2011/12 season Strodel moved to the upper division EV Duisburg , where he was able to convince with 28 scorer points in 26 games in his first year. At the same time, he also continued to play with a funding license for the DNL team of the Düsseldorfer EG and for the first time for their professional team, for which he played three games in the German Ice Hockey League . In the 2012/13 season , the left shooter was again used for Duisburg in the Oberliga and the Düsseldorfer EG in the DEL.

After seven years at DEG, 302 DEL games with 34 goals and 38 assists, Strodel moved to the DEL2 at EC Bad Nauheim . At the beginning of 2020 he would cancel his contract in Bad Nauheim and was signed by the Löwen Frankfurt .
