Patrick Klein (born January 1, 1994 in Duisburg ) is a German ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with the Löwen Frankfurt from the DEL2 since 2019 .

Career

Patrick Klein began his career as an ice hockey player in the junior division of the Düsseldorfer EG , for whose U18 juniors he was active in the German junior league from 2009 to 2013 . At the same time, he made his debut for the men's team of EV Duisburg in the major league in 2013 . He also took part for the German national ice hockey team in the 2012 U18 ice hockey world championship in the Czech Republic .

From 2013 Patrick Klein played permanently for EV Duisburg, and he also took part in the 2014 U20 Junior Ice Hockey World Championship in Sweden .

In the 2014/15 season, Klein switched to the DEL team of the Krefeld Pinguine , for which he played 55 DEL games and 5 games in the Champions Hockey League until 2018 . In addition, in the 2016/17 season he was loaned to the Kassel Huskies from the DEL2 with a funding license . During the 2018/19 season, he suffered from an abdominal infection and was out until the end of the season.

Since May 2019 Klein has been under contract with the Löwen Frankfurt in the DEL2.
