ESBG Allstar Game
The ESBG-Allstar-Game was an annual friendly game of the ESBG -Ligen Oberliga and 2. Bundesliga from 2006 to 2008 . In this game, selected players competed against each other in two teams. Here the Black-Red-Gold team met the United Nations team . Each league team posted one player and each second division team one to three players. Some of the actors could be selected by the fans in the specialist magazine Ice Hockey News . The rest was determined by sports journalists and experts.
The skills competition was also part of the event . Based on the example of the DEL All-Star Games or the NHL All-Star Games , the competition determined the hardest slap shot, the fastest skater or the best dribbling relay. The skills competition traditionally took place before the actual All-Star game.
The entire proceeds from the event went to the Ethiopia Aid “ Menschen für Menschen ” run by Karlheinz Böhm , who played ice hockey himself in his childhood .

In 2009 and 2010
For the years 2009 and 2010, the ESBG Allstar Game was canceled by the ESBG due to scheduling reasons. For the 2009/10 season , the 14th second division expressed the wish to forego weekday games. As a result, no suitable date for such an event in 2010 could be found. The consequence was the renewed cancellation of the Allstar Games.
