Dylan Gyori (born February 20, 1979 in Rimbey , Alberta ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player ( striker ) who was most recently under contract with the Dresdner Eislöwen in the 2nd Bundesliga .

Career

Gyori began his career in the 1994/95 season in the Western Hockey League with the Tri-City Americans , where he played until the 1998/99 season. In the 1999/00 season he moved to the Richmond Renegades in the East Coast Hockey League and in the same year had some assignments with the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins in the American Hockey League , to which he also moved for the 2000/01 season .

At the beginning of the 2001/02 season Gyori signed a contract with the Wheeling Nailers , which he left after the season to switch to league rivals Roanoke Express . In the same year Gyori was later with the Utah Grizzlies in the AHL before he went to Finland for the 2003/04 season, where he played eight games for Tappara Tampere in the SM-liiga , after which he again joined the Grizzlies. After spending some time in the AHL, he returned to the ECHL, where he ended the season with the Idaho Steelheads .

After his first experiences in Europe, Gyori signed a contract with REV Bremerhaven for the 2004/05 season in the 2nd Bundesliga , which he later extended for a year. After showing very good performances in Bremerhaven, the EHC Munich became aware of Gyori and secured his services for the 2006/07 season , where he met the high expectations. After a year in Munich, however, he switched to league competitor Kassel Huskies , where he was unable to match his previous year's form due to injuries, among other things.

From the 2008/09 season Gyori played again at EHC Munich and was number 15 on. For the 2011/12 season he was signed by the Hanover Indians . In autumn 2012 he received a one-month contract with the Indians and was without a club after this. In January 2013 Gyori was signed by the Dresdner Eislöwen to replace the injured Patrick Jarrett . He ended his career at the end of the 2012/13 season.
