Markus Janka (born March 21, 1980 in Wolfratshausen ) is a German ice hockey goalkeeper who was most recently under contract with EC Bad Tölz from the Oberliga Süd .

Career

Janka spent his time as a junior player at TuS Geretsried , where he was also used in the 1st team and in the German U20 junior selection at the 2000 Junior B World Cup from the 1998/99 season . For the 2000/01 season , the goalkeeper moved to the DEL to the Schwenninger Wild Wings , where he came to 31 missions in this and the following season . At the ice hockey world championship in 2002 he was also part of the German national team . In the summer of 2002 the left catcher switched to the Kassel Huskies . There he was entitled to play in the 2nd Bundesliga with the Eisbären Regensburg with a sponsorship license . In the following summer, however, Janka signed a contract with the Krefeld Pinguinen , where he also played with a sponsorship license in the 2nd Bundesliga at EV Duisburg .

In the following season 2004/05 the goalie stayed in Krefeld and ran at the same time, again equipped with a support license, in the 2nd Bundesliga for the EV Duisburg and the Wölfe Freiburg . In the summer of 2005, Markus Janka moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for his former employer Eisbären Regensburg for the next two seasons . In the 2007/08 season he was part of the Straubing Tigers squad . In 2010 he moved to ERC Ingolstadt and won the German championship with this club in 2014 . After this success he left the ERC and moved again to the Schwenninger Wild Wings, where he was under contract until the end of the 2014/15 season.
