Career
Kamil Ťoupal began his career in the youth teams of HC České Budějovice , for which he had his first appearances in the first Czechoslovak league in the 1990/91 season. He played for his home club until 1994 before moving to league rivals HC Pardubice before the 1994/95 season. However, he only played 22 Extraliga games for Pardubice and decided to move to other European countries. He signed with the Dutch first division club Eindhoven Kemphanen and was used 15 times. In the summer of 1995 he moved back to his hometown club, for which he played until 1999.
After the descent of the Landshut Cannibals in 1999, the team began to rebuild for the league , for which Kamil Ťoupal was committed. Since then, Ťoupal has played continuously for the Cannibals and received his German passport in 2006.
In the 2001/02 season, the Cannibals were promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga , in which the club has played since then. At the end of the 2003/04 season he was with his team in the playoff final of the 2nd Bundesliga against Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg , where he was seriously injured. Ťoupal hit the ice with his head and suffered a fractured skull base .
In 2004 he was elected captain of the team. In the 2007/08 season , Ťoupal was in the semi-finals of the play-offs against the Heilbronner Falken , which were defeated 4-0 games. In the play-off final, however, the team could not stand against the Kassel Huskies , who were able to celebrate the championship title and promotion to the German ice hockey league . In the 2011/12 season , the defender led the cannibals to the second division championship after sweeps against the Hanover Indians and EV Ravensburg and a contested final against the Starbulls Rosenheim .
After the 2012/13 season, he ended his career at the age of 40. In total, Ťoupal played 790 games for EV Landshut and achieved 586 points scorer. Because of his services to the club, he was adopted with a farewell game.
