Robby Sandrock (born March 10, 1978 in Williams Lake , British Columbia ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the SERC Wild Wings in the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey since January 2012 .
Career
Sandrock began his career in the 1994/95 season with the Spokane Chiefs in the Western Hockey League , for which he was also on the ice the following season. He then moved to the Swift Current Broncos for the 1996/97 season , which he left again during the season to play the season with the Medicine Hat Tigers to the end. With the Tigers he had a contract up to and including the 1998/99 season, but moved after a game to league rivals Kelowna Rockets before he moved to the Omaha Lancers in the United States Hockey League in the same year .

In the 1999/00 season he signed a contract with the San Angelo Outlaws in the Western Professional Hockey League and moved after the season for a year to the Macon Whoopee in the Central Hockey League . The 2001/02 season was his last year in America and that Sandrock spent in the East Coast Hockey League with the Johnstown Chiefs and Greensboro Generals. For the 2002/03 season, Sandrock moved to Europe for the Belfast Giants in the Elite Ice Hockey League , before he signed a contract with the Iserlohn Roosters at the beginning of the 2003/04 season . During his time in Iserlohn, however, he had health problems, making it a change in the league forced.
His next stop was the Hannover Indians , with whom he played between 2004 and 2006, before moving to the EHC Munich for the 2006/07 season. Sandrock was considered the strongest attacking defender of the 2nd Bundesliga this season, his brilliant slap shot was mainly used in power play and was feared throughout the league, which is why he was appointed to the ESBG Allstart Team 2006 . In the 2007/08 season Sandrock was under contract with the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg in the German Ice Hockey League , but it was announced that the contract would not be extended.
On May 21, 2008 it was announced that Sandrock would be on the ice in the Austrian Erste Bank Ice Hockey League for the Carinthian traditional club EC VSV in the 2008/09 season . A year later he ended his engagement with the EC VSV because he accepted a contract with the KHL Medveščak Zagreb . He left Zagreb on December 30, 2011 and returned to Germany, where he has been playing for SERC Wild Wings ever since .
