Markus Busch (born May 30, 1981 in Tegernsee ) is a former German ice hockey player who was active for many years in the German ice hockey league , the 2nd Bundesliga and the Oberliga Süd.

Career

Busch learned to play ice hockey at his home club, TEV Miesbach . He played his first professional season in 1999/00 with the Erding Jets in the major league , with whom he was able to celebrate promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga that season. After another season with the Jets, Busch moved in 2001 to the Schwenninger Wild Wings in the German Ice Hockey League , for which he played for two years. His next stop in the 2nd Bundesliga was EV Duisburg , for which he played again for two years. He then switched to the mosquito food , where he was under contract for two years before he was signed by the Kassel Huskies . After a rather bad start to the season, he moved back to Essen after eleven games. After their bankruptcy, Busch moved to his current club, EV Ravensburg . In an away game of the EVR Tower Stars at the Dresdner Eislöwen on January 10, 2010, Busch suffered a shoulder injury, so that the 2009/10 season was over for him. This was the fifth serious shoulder injury that made a new operation inevitable.

At the end of the 2010/11 season he won the 2nd Bundesliga championship with the Ravensburg Towerstars. After the departure of the Towerstars in the playoff semifinals of the 2011/12 season against the Landshut Cannibals, he left the Towerstars. In the 2012/2013 season Busch went on the ice for his home club TEV Miesbach in the fourth-class Bayernliga and then ended his active career. In the 2015/2016 season, Busch played several games at EC Bad Tölz due to injury-related failures .
