Niklas Hede (born May 14, 1969 in Malmö , Sweden ) is a former German - Finnish ice hockey player (striker) who has played in the 2nd Bundesliga and German ice hockey league (DEL) for many years , including for the Eisbären Berlin and Straubing Tigers , Eisbären Regensburg and the EHC Munich was active. He has been a member of the management of EC Red Bull Salzburg since 2017 , initially as Director of Player Development and between February and April 2019 as assistant coach of the professional team.

Career

Hede began his career in the 1989/90 season in the Finnish SM league at Helsingfors IFK . After he began the 1990/91 season in Finland's top division, he moved to Karhu-Kissat in the second Finnish division after two games . For the 1991/92 season he then signed a contract with FPS Forssa before returning to the SM league at the beginning of the 1993/94 season , where he played at HPK Hämeenlinna . After three years he returned to Helsingfors IFK for the 1994/95 season and then spent the 1995/96 season again at HPK Hämeenlinna.

A year later, Hede decided to move to the DEL , where he signed a contract with Eisbären Berlin for the 1996/97 season, which he extended to the 1998/99 season. In the 1999/2000 season he still played in Berlin, but was under contract with local rivals Berlin Capitals .

After his time in Berlin, Hede moved back to his Finnish homeland, where he went on the ice for Ässät Pori in the 2000/01 season before returning to Germany for the 2001/02 season to play for EC Bad Tölz in the 2. To play Bundesliga . Between 2002 and 2006 , Hede was part of the Straubing Tigers team , where he did not see promotion to the DEL because he switched to the Hamburg Freezers after his naturalization during the 2005/06 season.

From the 2006/07 season Hede was under contract with the Eisbären Regensburg , for which he also played the 2007/08 season.

From the 2008/09 season Hede was under contract with EHC Munich , where he came up with the shirt number 10. He ended his career in July 2010. As a result, his shirt number was blocked at the EHC.
