Torsten Heine (born July 17, 1979 in Bad Muskau , GDR ) is a former German ice hockey player who played a large part of his career at ETC Crimmitschau in the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey .

Career

Heine began his career in the 1997/98 season at ES Weißwasser in the Hacker-Pschorr League . In the following season he moved to ETC Crimmitschau . In 2002 he played 16 games in the DEL for the Eisbären Berlin and 56 games for the ETC Crimmitschau. Three more seasons followed for Crimmitschau in the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga and the Oberliga. After the direct return to the second division with the ETC Crimmitschau, he moved to Essen to the mosquitos . After only one season he was drawn back to Saxony for the ETC, where he held the captaincy until 2009. For the 2009/10 season he gave the position to Kevin Saurette and was determined as an alternative captain because of his experience. After the 2010/11 season , Heine ended his sporting career, but remained with the club as a junior coach for the youngsters.
