Career
Daniel Menge learned to play ice hockey in his hometown of Munich and was supported by his father, who is a hobby player himself.
His first appearance in a (semi) professional team he completed in the jersey of the Geretsried Riverrats , which played in the 2000/01 season in the Oberliga Süd. In the following season he then moved to Erding for TSV and was able to achieve a remarkable 31 scorer points in 53 games this season. The Erding Jets team reached the play-offs, but failed in the first round at EV Landshut .
As part of the insolvency of the Jets, the German team was dissolved and TSV Erding began to play again with a senior team in the lowest division - the Bavarian district league - so that Daniel Menge moved to EC Bad Tölz . This allowed Daniel amount also the first time in the 2. Bundesliga go on the ice and delivered a quite successful season, with him but with the use of the Nuremberg Ice Tigers issued DEL - production license was denied.
Nevertheless, he moved to his hometown for the following season to play for EHC Munich in the Oberliga Südwest . Here he distinguished himself as an excellent goal preparer and scorer, so that the Eisbären Regensburg noticed him and he moved there for the 2004/05 season in the 2nd Bundesliga.
For the 2005/06 season the Dresdner Eislöwen rose to the Bundesliga and signed Daniel Quantity. This could quickly establish itself in the second or third attack formation. Since he also complied with the U23 rule in the following season and had a very good first season with the Eislöwen, his contract was extended in summer 2006. In the 2006/07 season he first played in the front row with Gregory Schmidt and Martin Sekera , but also in the second row with David Musial and Radek Vít during the season . For the 2007/08 season he signed a contract with the Augsburg Panthers , but switched to the Dresden Ice Lions during the season due to the lack of ice age, with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. After he initially wanted to end his sporting career, Quantity signed a contract with the Tölzer Löwen for the 2009/10 season . In January 2010 he moved to ESV Kaufbeuren in the 2nd Bundesliga.
He has been playing for HC Landsberg since the 2016/17 season .
