Christian Ege

Christian Ege (born October 27, 1970 in Stuttgart ) is a German politician . From October 2004 to November 2009 he was State Secretary in the Saarland Ministry of Economics and Science .

biography

After studying business administration at Saarland University , Ege was a research assistant at the Institute for Information Systems , which is now part of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence. He did his doctorate under August-Wilhelm Scheer on the subject of "Support networks for research-related business start-ups".

As a career changer, from 1999 to 2004 he headed the Innovation, Research and Technology department in the Saarland State Chancellery. During this time, he developed the “Saarland innovation strategy”, the central guideline for structural change in the state through research and innovation, and laid the foundation for the “Empower Germany” network, which with over 600 members supports over 130 innovation strategy projects in a participatory Implemented the process.

From 2004 to 2009, the graduate economist was State Secretary in the Ministry of Economics and Science. He was responsible for innovation, university and science policy, developed the e-government strategy as the CIO of the state government and founded the Saarland's tourism strategy. He coordinated cross-border projects in the European greater region “Saarland - Lorraine - Luxembourg - Wallonia” and oversaw international business development activities.

Today he works as a management consultant and innovation manager with Sprint Innovation and founded the Generation Ü network for retired social entrepreneurship in 2017. He is chairman of the supervisory board of Generation Ü eG and president of Generation Ü Netzwerk eV

As president of the Saarwaldverein in the German Hiking Association , he volunteers for hiking and nature conservation.
