Christian Finke

Christian Finke (* 1958 in Berlin ) is a German church musician .

Finke studied at the Berlin University of the Arts and passed the A-exam in 1981 . He completed his training with Martin Behrmann , Wolfgang Helbich and Uwe Gronostay . He is cantor in Berlin-Lankwitz and district cantor of the Evangelical Church District of Steglitz . He teaches as a lecturer at the University of the Arts , the Humboldt University in Berlin and at the Ernst Moritz Arndt University of Greifswald . In 2012 he was awarded the Mendelssohn Sibling Medal. He was also appointed church music director. He is Chairman of the Choir Association of the Evangelical Church Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia and President of the Choir Association in the Evangelical Church in Germany .
