Christian Fischer (politician, 1879)

Christian Fischer (born July 1, 1879 in Linz , † July 16, 1934 in Graz ) was an editor and Austrian politician ( CSP ).

Working life

After elementary school, an apprenticeship as a locksmith and attending school in Mönchengladbach (Germany), Fischer was editor of the Grazer Volksblatt , editor for Arbeiterfreund , Kärntner Zeitung den Arbeiter, and chief editor of the Kleiner Blatt .

politics

Fischer was a member of the Styrian state parliament , member of the Graz municipal council in 1907, city council of Graz 1907, chairman of the Christian Social Workers' Association in Graz, chairman of the regional association of Christian Social Workers' associations and vice president of the Styrian journalists' organization.

He was a member of the Constituent National Assembly for the CSP (March 4, 1919 - November 9, 1920) and a member of the National Council in the first legislative period from November 20, 1920 to November 20, 1923 for the CSP. He was then a member of the Federal Council for the CSP from November 20, 1923 to May 21, 1927.
