Christian Friedl (born January 28, 1987 - October 1, 2016 ) was an Austrian football player .

Career

Friedl began his career at USV Gutenberg . In 1999 he moved to SC Weiz . In 2001 he joined the youth team at SK Sturm Graz .

In January 2006 Friedl joined the second division Kapfenberger SV . He made his debut in the second division on the 32nd matchday of the 2005/06 season against FK Austria Wien II , when he came on in the 89th minute for Rade Đokić . For the 2007/08 season he moved to the regional division and his former youth club SC Weiz. With the Weizern, however, he had to relegate to the fourth-class Styrian regional league in the 2010/11 season . In the 2013/14 season, however, you could fix the promotion. In the season after promotion, he was used in 29 of 30 regional league games.

Friedl died on October 1, 2016 after a short, serious illness at the age of 29.
