Christian Friedrich Stelzer

Christian Friedrich Stelzer , also Steltzer (born May 29, 1702 , † September 30, 1759 in Salzwedel ) was the syndic and mayor of Salzwedel.

Life

family

Christian Friedrich Stelzer was married twice and comes from a family of councilors and mayors. His first wife was Charlotte Amalie Chüden (1706–1754) and his second wife Lucia Dorothea Johanna von Kalm (from Braunschweig ).

A child from his first marriage was the future mayor of Halle Christian Friedrich Christoph Stelzer (1738–1822).

His tomb can be found at the south entrance of the Marienkirche in Salzwedel.

career

After completing his studies, he became a senior legal counsel in the Altmark. In 1742 he joined the city council of Salzwedel. A year later he became mayor and lawyer.
