Christian Friedrich von Brand
Christian Friedrich von Brand († July 31, 1735 in the Sonnenstein Fortress ) was initially court counselor in Altenburg and finally Privy Councilor and Chancellor of Duke Moritz Wilhelm of Sachsen-Merseburg .
On April 10, 1713, an arrest warrant was issued against him for treason, interference in the rent chamber and wrong use of the seal of his sovereign. Brand fled, but was discovered and imprisoned in Naumburg (Saale) in 1715 . He came to Sonnenstein Fortress, where he remained in custody until his death.
He owned the goods Gleina, Langenleuba, Lucka, Trackendorf and Zinna.
Brand was married to Erdmuthe Sophie von Pöllnitz (born September 10, 1677), the daughter of the Saxon politician Ludwig Ernst von Pöllnitz , since February 6, 1693 .
