Christian Friedrich from the Moselle
Christian Friedrich Freiherr von der Mosel (* 1779 , † 1858 ) was a German landowner, politician and administrative officer.
Life
Christian Friedrich von der Mosel studied law at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität and the Friedrichs-Universität Halle . In 1799 he became a member of the Erlanger Westphalia and Corps Guestphalia Halle . He became mayor of Kleve . As such, he became district administrator of the Kleve district in 1816 . He held the office for over three decades until 1846.
Von der Mosel owned the Rosendal estate in the village of Hasselt in what is now Bedburg-Hau . He was married to Amalie Kopstadt, a niece of the Mayor of Essen , Johann Conrad Kopstadt .
