Christian Nikolaus Udo Peter Herzog von Oldenburg (born February 1, 1955 in Rastede ) has been the head of the Oldenburg house since 2014 .

Von Oldenburg is one of the grandsons of Nikolaus Friedrich Wilhelm von Oldenburg and the only son of Anton Günther Herzog von Oldenburg and his wife Amelie Princess zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg (* 1923). Von Oldenburg has an older sister, Helene (born August 3, 1953).

With the death of his father on September 20, 2014, Christian von Oldenburg became head of the Oldenburg family . His mother died on March 26, 2016.

His cousin is Beatrix von Storch , whose father, Huno Friedrich Peter Max Herzog von Oldenburg (* 1940), is one of the two younger brothers of Anton Günther Herzog von Oldenburg .
