Christian Kirchberg (born September 5, 1947 in Berlin ) is a German lawyer . He is specialized in administrative law and mainly in the areas of constitutional law , planning law , state liability law , Legal Profession , administrative procedures and administrative procedural law and municipal law operates.

Kirchberg is also chairman of the constitutional law committee of the Federal Bar Association (BRAK). In a hearing of the federal government on the implementation of acoustic living space surveillance, he severely criticized the draft law and called for the " large eavesdropping " to be abandoned .

Life

Kirchberg studied in Freiburg and Geneva law . In 1980 he obtained his doctorate on the subject of "The Badische Verwaltungsgerichtshof in the Third Reich". jur. and has been a lawyer in Karlsruhe since then .

In 2000 he was commissioned by Wolfgang Thierse to represent the German Bundestag in the legal dispute over the CDU donation affair. He won in the highest instance before the Federal Administrative Court .

Since 2007 he has been an honorary professor at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology .
