Christian Rolando Lara Anangono (born April 27, 1980 in Quito ) is an Ecuadorian football player .
Lara's parents come from the Chota Valley north of Quito and settled in the Mena del Hierro cooperative in the higher, poorer part of northern Quito. Lara joined the youth of the Ecuadorian military club CD El Nacional in 1994 , for which he competed in the first Ecuadorian league in 2000.
The offensive midfielder played for El Nacional until August 2006 and played a total of 211 first division games in Ecuador until August 13, 2006. In August 2006 he moved to Al Wakrah in Qatar . In January 2007 he returned to Quito and is now playing for LDU Quito . In the 2007 season he came to 29 September on 31 missions. He was there as a midfielder the most successful goalscorer of the main season together with the Argentine Daniel Neculman . In the final round, he won the Ecuadorian championship with his team. For the 2008 season he moved to Barcelona SC Guayaquil , from the 2009 season he played for Deportivo Pereira in Colombia, which he left in the summer of 2009 and returned to LDU Quito.
Lara played 29 times in the Ecuadorian national soccer team from 2002 to 2008 . He was in Ecuador's squad for the 2006 World Cup in Germany and was the smallest player in the tournament at 162 cm.
