Christian Liljegren

Christian Liljegren (* 1972 , now Christian Rivel) is a Swedish singer, composer and label owner on the Christian metal scene .

Liljegren founded the band Narnia together with Carl Johan Grimmark in 1993 , of which he was the lead singer and lyricist until 2007. After the record deal between Nuclear Blast and Narnia expired, Rivel founded the label Rivel Records. The albums by Narnia, Veni Domine , Divinefire , Slechtvalk , Grimmark, Harmony and Majestic Vanguard are published there to this day.

In 2004 Christian Liljegren founded the symphonic metal band Divinefire together with Jani Stefanovic (Essence of Sorrow, Miseration, Renascent) , which released four studio albums on Rivel Records. Liljegren was and is the singer of the bands Audiovision, Flagship and Wisdom Call.

In April 2008 Liljegren retired as a singer from Narnia. The band continued to exist without him until 2010. Christian Liljegren has been continuing the Divinefire project with a new line-up since 2010.

He is also a co-founder of the band Golden Resurrection .

Christian Liljegren took his wife's surname at his wedding and was called Christian Rivel until the divorce. His wife is the great-granddaughter of the famous clown Charlie Rivel . After the divorce in 2007, he reverted to his maiden name. His label Rivel Records has been operating under the name Christian Music Sweden ever since.
