Christian Linker (born February 12, 1975 in Leverkusen ) is a German author for young people. His first children's book, Ritter für eine Nacht , was published in 1999. His debut novel RaumZeit was nominated in 2003 for the German Youth Literature Prize. For his novel Blitzlichtgewitter he received the Hansjörg Martin Prize in 2009 (children's and youth crime prize from the authors' association Das Syndikat ). Also in 2009 the stage version of RaumZeit (together with Stefan Filipiak ) was awarded the authors' prize of the Karlsruhe Sandkorn Theater and premiered there in 2010. In 2018 he received the Golden Leslie award for young people's books for his novel Der Schuss .

Under the pseudonym Magnus Mahlmann, he also writes a crime series about the former prison pastor Laurenz Broich.

Christian Left studied in Bonn theology . He worked as a freelance PR editor and as an educational consultant in extracurricular youth education. For several years, Linker worked in Cologne as the full-time diocesan chairman of the Federation of German Catholic Youth . Today he lives with his family in Leverkusen.
