Christian Reinhard Möllmann (born March 12, 1972 in Essen ) is a German Big Brother participant and singer .
Career
The former policeman began his career at the Warner Bros. Movie World amusement park in 1998 as a show director and later an actor.
He became known to the general public in autumn 2000 as a candidate for the second season of the television show Big Brother . Möllmann declared himself to be a “nominator” from the start and staged himself in this role. With deliberately provocative behavior, he quickly turned not only other residents of the container against himself, but also the makers of the show. His conscious self-staging in the role of the “nominator” and his posed self-talk , reminiscent of soap operas , resulted in repeated admonitions from the editors, because they led the show's concept to absurdity of allegedly showing unadulterated life. After a month he left the container voluntarily.
Like other Big Brother candidates before, Möllmann also used its temporary popularity to publish his own recordings under the name Christian . His debut single Es ist geil ein Arschloch went straight to number 1 in the German single charts in November 2000 , stayed there for nine weeks and achieved platinum status . In Austria and Switzerland he reached the top three and seven. The album Nominator reached number 3 in Germany, number 34 in Austria and number 53 in Switzerland. The single Waskosten die Welt reached 8th place in the chart in Germany and 47th in Austria.
In 2001 and 2002 Möllmann presented the program Robot Wars on RTL II TV . From March 2, 2004 to March 1, 2005, he co-hosted the fifth season of Big Brother alongside Ruth Moschner and Oliver Petszokat . In the sixth season ('Big Brother - Das Dorf') he continued to have numerous guest appearances. Then Christian Möllmann was the moderator of the Big Brother clone Der Container Exklusiv, also produced by Endemol . This ran from February 26 to June 5, 2006 on the pay-TV channel Premiere .
In the ninth season of the 2009 German Big Brother edition, Möllmann also commented on the behavior of individual participants in the weekly live show in his role as “nominator”.
